Types of LHD Mercedes-Benz Cars (Models)

Mercedes-Benz is known for its five core models, part of the naming system. A, B, C, E, and S are the five core Mercedes-Benz models. Some Mercedes-Benz letters do not pertain to the U.S. market since Mercedes-Benz uses these core models internationally. Several of these models are applicable to the United States market, including the C-Class sedan, the C-Class Coupe, and the C-Class convertible. In the prestige vehicle market, the Mercedes-Benz S-class represents the company's flagship model. As a result, all models are equipped with the most advanced technologies at the time of manufacture. Mercedes-Benz usually introduces new features or technologies to its cars through the S-class. Some of the most resounding models in the company's modern history include the A-CLASS, C-CLASS, CLA-CLASS, CLS-CLASS, E-CLASS, S-CLASS, C-CLASS, CLA-CLASS, E-CLASS, GLA-CLASS, GLC-CLASS, GLE-CLASS, GLS-CLASS, G-CLASS.

Origin of LHD Mercedes-Benz

The company produced 3 128 right-hand-drive vehicles in July, as the East London plant produced the model only for the South African market, in response to "increased demand for the new-generation C-Class", according to Eckart Mayer, MBSA's VP. Only at the end of July did production begin for the U.S. market.

For the entire month of August, the East London plant will introduce Saturday shifts for the purpose of meeting the demand for the new C-Class model. Additional shifts were added in July to meet the demand for the C-Class model. The company produces the Mercedes-Benz C-Class for the South African and United States markets. Over 52 000 vehicles were manufactured at the MBSA plant by 2300 employees in 2010. A successor generation of the current C-Class will be produced at the East London plant and three other locations around the world - beginning in 2014.
